Symposium aan de schelde

Symposium of harmony

What connects music with sustainability and agriculture? It’s harmony. Harmony of sounds between themselves and between man and nature. This will all come together on Friday 28 June, during Symposium aan de Schelde. The role of sustainable innovations in the agro-food sector will be the point of focus, an asset that excels the Schelde region. At the symposium, progressive key note speakers from the agrofood sector will be on the stage. During workshops, participants will then expand on these issues.

Innovating is progress

It is not only theory. At the end of the symposium, three important recommendations will be made to the organising taskforce. This group, consisting of relevant organisations and authorities, will get down to work with the recommendations. Just as Symphony aan de Schelde, students play a leading role during the symposium. By means of a competition, Symposium aan de Schelde challenges them to come up with a sustainable solution for an issue from the agrofood sector. More news soon about Symposium aan de Schelde.

Key note speaker:

André Kuipers

Since his journeys in outer space (in 2002 and 2011) made him see how vulnerable our little world is in the great outer space. So we should be careful with it. Since then André Kuipers is very dedicated in his life to sustainability and is Ambassador of Earth.André will tell us in a lecture of an hour about his experiences in space and the importance of innovative techniques to enable sustainability to empower abilities for companies and people to make the necessary change themselves.
